KAANAPALI — The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa was recently honored with a “Viktor Touch Service Award,” the highest honor from Viktor Meetings and Incentives.

It is a rare award given to a few select organizations that have exceeded service expectations as a supplier partner.

This year, the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa was the only recipient.

Criteria for the award include: 1) Exceeds expectations — added the “wow” factor; 2) Has been “caught in the act” of delivering exceptional service; 3) Has effectively and efficiently prepared for or corrected a challenge; 4) Demonstrates creativity or resourcefulness; 5) Anticipates needs of the travel group; 6) Dependable and dedicated to the relationship with Viktor.

Mark Bondy, president of Viktor Incentives & Meetings, who personally delivered the award to General Manager Chip Bahouth and his team, said, “They did their homework and listened intently to our needs and expectations. From the site inspection to the final departures from the hotel, they demonstrated superior care and customer service and proactively addressed any challenges, expected or unexpected. We work with a lot of wonderful, dedicated supplier partners, but this was a rare pleasure to witness such excellence.”

Bahouth said, “Receiving an award of this caliber from a valued business partner such as Viktor Meetings & Incentives is one of the highest compliments we could ever hope to gain. I am very proud of my staff for offering continued exceptional service to every guest who stays at our resort.”
