KAHULUI — One of Hawaii’s most well-known social media experts will speak on “Making the Most of Social Media” on Tuesday, April 6, as a guest of the Maui Affinity Group of the Public Relations Society of America Hawaii Chapter.  

Dan Zelikman made his early reputation on Wall Street promoting a large foreign exchange brokerage firm on CNN Money, Bloomberg, Reuters, Wall Street Journal and other sites.  

Attracted to Hawaii by his interest in surfing, today he is director of digital marketing for StarrTech Interactive.

“This is a great opportunity to update our use of social media,” said Sara Foley of Maui Communicators, director of the Hawaii PRSA Chapter.

 Zelikman has appeared as a guest expert on KITV and KHON News. He currently works with Marriott Hawaii, Polynesian Cultural Center, Waikiki Parc Hotel, Kapalua Resort, Bank of Hawaii, Hawaiian Telcom and other companies.

Reservations are required for this luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Class Act Dining Room in the Pa‘ina Building at University of Hawaii Maui College. Luncheon tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door with a reservation. Make checks payable to PRSA Hawaii; there is no credit card capability.
