Bank of Hawaii branches support foundation scholarship fund
WEST MAUI — Bank of Hawaii’s Ann Neizman, assistant vice president and Lahaina Branch manager, and Lance Gross, Kahana Branch manager, recently presented a check for $2,000 to the Lahainaluna High School Foundation (LHSF).
Two scholarships, each for $1,000, representing both West Maui branches of Bank of Hawaii, will be awarded to graduating seniors of Lahainaluna High School on May 13, 2010.
Neizman stated ”We are pleased to be able to contribute towards the Lahainaluna High School Foundation scholarship fund, especially during these challenging economic times. We are proud to support the students of Lahainaluna High School.”
The Lahaina Branch at Old Lahaina Center and Kahana Branch at Kahana Gateway both employ Lahainaluna graduates.
Rob Shelton, LHSF president, said, “It’s wonderful to develop these kinds of partnerships with the businesses in our community. We want Lahainaluna students to have the opportunity to go off to college and return, finding employment with these very same businesses that helped them get started on their journey.”
Foundation Executive Director Leslie Hiraga added, “The generosity of our community is stellar, and Bank of Hawaii’s donation is another example of this. On behalf of Lahainaluna and LHSF, we thank Bank of Hawaii for their interest and commitment to the youth, as displayed by this contribution.”
