Erin Kelley and Matthew Maclean manage the new ‘Aina Gourmet Market.

LAHAINA — ‘Aina Gourmet Market in the Honua Kai Resort & Spa named Erin Kelley its market manager.

She brings to ‘Aina Gourmet Market an extensive resume of customer service, restaurant and retail management and a commitment to sustainability. 

“We are also pleased to have her vivacious, fun-loving attitude at the market,” said market co-owner Louis Coulombe. “Erin is an excellent addition to the team.”

Previously, Kelley worked at Hawaiian Village Coffee as a barista, and at Warren and Annabelle’s as a server and floor supervisor. 

Her first job was at a family-owned deli when she was just 14 years old. She has held every position, from deli cashier to prep cook to shift manager. 

“Since my first taste of the restaurant service, I’ve been passionate about great food and culinary products,” said Kelley. “At ‘Aina, I’m excited to select the best green products Hawaii offers.”

Kelley earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cambridge, Massachusetts’ Lesley College in 2004.

She specializes in education and working with autistic children — a skill that fits in with family activities on ‘Aina Gourmet Market’s calendar.

“We will be hosting kids’ Halloween activities, such as pumpkin painting, at the market this year,” said Kelley. “I’m also looking forward to planning holiday events and movie nights.”

‘Aina Gourmet Market’s former market manager, Angel Green, will provide ongoing consultation on sustainable business.

Barista Matthew Maclean has been promoted to assistant market manager. 

The culinary crew behind Lahaina’s popular pacific’O and I’o restaurants opened ‘Aina Gourmet Market — a coffee bar, fine foods, wine and gift store — in 2009. 

The market is based on the “100-mile lifestyle,” utilizing local resources in the interior design and aspiring to stock mostly locally produced products.
