‘Starting a Venture in Hawaii’ to be offered in Lahaina
LAHAINA — Those thinking of starting a venture or business project for the first time, or experienced entrepreneurs thinking of launching a new product or service are encouraged to attend “Starting A Venture in Hawaii.”
Offered by the Hawaii Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in conjunction with the Office of Continuing Education and Training at Maui Community College, the class will be held Thursday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at MCC’s Lahaina Education Center, 60 Kenui St.
Participants will get an overview of how to evaluate business ideas in general, available resources, needs and issues particular to Maui.
Maui SBDC Director David Fisher has an MBA and has been teaching this continuously evolving class and helping businesses on Maui for over 16 years.
The class fee is only $23, which includes a sample business plan, the booklet “Starting A Business on Maui” and additional resources.
