Body in Balance celebrates its third year with Grand Re-Opening
LAHAINA — Body in Balance, a Pilates and personal training studio, invites the Maui community to discover and renew their fitness goals at their Grand Re-Opening on Saturday, May 9.
The free event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will feature new classes, new studio equipment demos, class giveaways, and plenty of discounts and specials.
“We’re here to make sure you’re getting the most for your physical, spiritual and mental needs and to keep you motivated,” said co-owner and instructor Ali Bodick. “Not everyone likes to exercise, so we offer a variety of classes and trainers to make your goals easier and more fun to achieve. That’s one of the exciting parts about this re-open — you can try as many different classes as we offer and see if one works for you!”
There is no shortage of interesting options for classes, either.
Body in Balance “has personal training by appointment, where you work one-on-one with your trainer. We have mat and reformer Pilates, which is an impact-free series of core-based moves to lengthen and strengthen the body… But we also have Keiki Hip-Hop, Mommy and Me Pilates, Spinning, Beach Boot Camps, Aerial Acrobatics, Jumpboard and Stability Ball Training, and even Pole Dancing,” said co-owner TJ Cia.
A different class will start every half hour, with some classes overlapping.
“We keep all our classes small and intimate so you get the most out of your workout. The same goes for the re-open,” said Bodick.
In addition to classes, the studio will also showcase fitness demonstrations for Pole Dancing and Aerial Acrobatics and conduct an e-mail giveaway.
“When participants show up, they’ll sign a waiver and be given the option to give us their e-mail,” explained Bodick. “From the e-mails, we’ll pick someone to receive a free class of their choice, free merchandise and even a free month pass! We’re really excited!”
Contestants do not need to be present to sign up for the drawing. An e-mail sent to mail@bodybalancemaui.com with the participant’s name and number will act as a contest submission.
For more information on the event, call 661-1116 or visit the studio at 142 Kupuohi St., F-2, in Lahaina.
“We’re right up the hill from (Lahaina Cannery Mall) and Lahaina Gateway, but we’re discreet and unassuming,” noted Cia. “We think of ourselves as a little health and fitness sanctuary right in the heart of Lahaina!”
