KAPALUA – Mary Anne Fitch and Nam Le Viet are sponsoring “Paint the Town Together,” a celebration for fine art enthusiasts, on Sunday, Nov. 25, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. to support Maui Arts League and the upcoming Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational in February.

Tickets are $125 per person, inclusive of Taverna signature fine food and wines, craft beers and artisan cocktails. For more information, visit www.CelebrateArtOnMaui.com.

“Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational is honored that Mary Anne Fitch and Nam Le Viet are sponsoring this fabulous party. They are great art lovers and share our vision to bring more fine art and art appreciation to West Maui,” said Lois Reiswig, Maui Arts League president.

During the party, Carleton Kincade of Lahaina and Mark Brown of Oahu, two award-winning plein air artists, will be painting fresh originals to be offered for sale.

Rita Boyle, senior vice president at Christie’s Auction House, will give a presentation entitled “Supporting Your Community Through the Arts,” and Katherine Kama’ema’e Smith will sneak preview the other 22 acclaimed artists who will be painting scenes of Maui at the upcoming invitational event in February.

Actress, author and Deejay Eliza Escano Vasquez, also an art enthusiast, will be providing a selection of music to turn the private party into a dazzling celebration that feeds all the senses.

Fitch said, “Nam and I had the idea to create a fun event to support the arts on Maui. We have enjoyed sponsoring the plein air invitational for years and know that there are many full-time and part-time residents who would love participating. More importantly, we want to share what we have learned from our affiliation with Christie’s Auction House – to inspire others to begin collecting art and support our community at the same time.”
