Anita Marci said, “I am so excited to be launching our second year of paint parties. I have created some new fun Maui art to paint from, including a bright ‘Aloha Shirt,’ a delicious ‘Coconut Mai Tai’ and the ever-classic ‘Maui Slippas.’

LAHAINA – One of West Maui’s most creative art activities is celebrating its one-year anniversary. Host Anita Marci, an award-winning artist, has created new art to kick off the second summer.

Maui Paint Parties is a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to create their own Maui paintings. No experience is necessary, and all art materials are included. Bring your creativity and your desire for fun!

Canvases, acrylic paints, brushes, palettes and aprons – everything you need to make your Maui masterpiece – are provided.

Adults and families with children over eight are invited to paint step-by-step while enjoying drinks and pupus in a festive, party-style atmosphere during Happy Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday afternoon.

Parties are held at Pi Artisan Pizzeria at 900 Front St. at The Outlets of Maui. Escape the heat of the day and purchase Happy Hour specials that include ice-cold beer on tap, wine and the pizzeria’s fabulous food.

Parking is convenient at The Outlets of Maui parking lot and is free for four hours with complimentary restaurant validation.

Marci is an international award-winning artist who has earned more than 60 honors, including the Top Emerging Artist Award from Art Business News Magazine, during her 35-year art career.

A Maui resident since January 2003, she has taught at The Art School at Kapalua, Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, and the Maui Marriott Resort and Ocean Club. Marci has nearly two decades of teaching experience.

Maui Paint Parties are $62.50 per person. Online reservations are required 24 hours in advance and must be made at www.anitatheartist.com/parties.
