Celebrate ocean conservation at ‘Stringz n Finz’ benefit

The event’s entertainment lineup includes Kanekoa, YumYum Beast, Larry Keel, Peter Rowan, Keller Williams (above) and an ending jam to conclude the benefit.

MAKAWAO – A celebration of ocean conservation in motion, the first annual “Stringz n Finz” Conservation and Education Benefit will be held at Lumeria Maui on Saturday, June 17.

Top musical acts and personalities will share music and stories, including Capt. Paul Watson, founder of The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, as the 2017 keynote speaker.

Join international acts Keller Williams, Peter Rowan, The Larry Keel Experience and local bands The YumYum Beast and Kanekoa for this epic day of music, education and action. Great voices will come together in song to celebrate and educate people on action and conservation.

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Whale Trust Maui, Hawaii Wildlife Fund, Love the Sea and Surfrider Foundation will participate in the education hub.

After a blessing from noon to 12:30 p.m., the schedule includes Kanekoa from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m., YumYum Beast from 1:45 to 2.30 p.m., presentation by Watson from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m., Larry Keel from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Peter Rowan from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Keller Williams from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m., and an ending jam from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.

Local food outlets, refreshing beverages and an eclectic apparel offering will be available onsite, plus many guest surprises and activities.

This is a 21-and-over show with a limit of 150 tickets available.
