Maui magician Holden Mowat performs every Saturday at noon at Lahaina Cannery Mall. The magic veteran from the award-winning Kupanaha Magic Dinner Show performs an interactive, all-ages magic-comedy show at center stage.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Cannery Mall’s online auditions continue for its first-ever SING IT! Teen Singing Competition.

The deadline for online auditions is Saturday, June 3, at midnight Hawaii Standard Time. Contest details are posted at www.lahainacannery.com.

The contest is open to Maui residents 13 to 18 years of age. After all clips are reviewed, the panel of judges will select 15 lucky contestants to perform as the finalists in the SING IT! competition.

The competition will be held at Lahaina Cannery Mall on Saturday, June 24, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Winners will receive cash prizes: $1,000 for first place, $500 for second and $300 for third. There will also be a People’s Choice Award.

The winner will get his or her song professionally recorded by a #1 Billboard artist and music producer.

In addition, talented Maui halau will perform weekly at Lahaina Cannery Mall in May. The free cultural entertainment takes place on center stage in the air-conditioned complex at 1 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

Other activities include free ukulele lessons at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, free hula lessons at 5 p.m. on Thursday, and Maui Toy Works Yu-Gi-Oh Card Sessions from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
