Lahaina’s fifth annual Classic Car Show & Rock and Roll Party set for Friday
LAHAINA – Lahaina Town will come alive with its fifth annual Classic Car Show & Rock and Roll Party during the Second Friday Town Party on April 14.
The classic cars will parade down from The Outlets of Maui and park along Front Street, which will be closed from Prison Street to Lahainaluna Road from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be riding in one of the convertibles down Front Street, and then will be in Campbell Park during the town party.
The event will be broadcast via live remote from Campbell Park with KONI 104.7 and Joe Hawkins. DJ Zinn will spin tunes from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Jimmy Mac and the Kool Kats performing from 7 to 9 p.m.
Cool Cat Cafe will be selling event T-shirts and burgers. West Side keiki non-profits will run food booths from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Maui Surf Dogs and Tropsicles will also be in the park.
Soroptimist International of West Maui will hold its annual silent auction from 6 to 8 p.m., Lahaina Yacht Club will hold a membership drive, and the Pacific Talent Search Agency will be on hand.
Down the street at the Wo Hing Museum, Chinese Kite Festival activities are slated from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (see page 14). Call 667-9193 for more information.
