Dates announced for 2017 Kapalua Restaurant Week

By Staff | Apr 13, 2017

KAPALUA – Kapalua Resort last week announced the dates for two 2017 Kapalua Restaurant Week promotions.

Due to the overwhelming success of this program’s launch in 2016, the resort partners have decided to run two annual dining promotions.

The spring event will be May 15-21 and the fall week is scheduled for Oct. 23-29, with participating restaurants offering either a prix fixe two-course menu for lunch, a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner daily or a special menu item.

The 2017 Kapalua Restaurant Week beneficiary is Maui Food Bank’s Aloha Backpack Buddies program.

Aloha Backpack Buddies provides elementary school children, who are on the free or reduced meal program at their school, with a pre-filled backpack every Friday that contains six meals to take home for the weekend.

Approximately $1 from each item or menu will go to support the Aloha Backpack Buddies program for every Restaurant Week item sold during this timeframe. The 2016 Kapalua Restaurant Week raised over $2,000 to support Aloha Backpack Buddies.

Participating restaurants include Montage Kapalua Bay – Cane & Canoe, and Hana Hou; The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua – The Banyan Tree, Kai Sushi, Burger Shack and Pineapple Grill; The Plantation House Restaurant; Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar; Taverna; and The Wine Palette.

The Kapalua Resort community seeks opportunities to increase awareness of the world-class dining establishments in the resort to guests and residents throughout Maui.
