Fun events lined up for Rotary Saint Patrick’s Day Party
LAHAINA – Tickets are still available for the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s “Go For The Green” St. Patrick’s Day Party on Friday, March 17, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in Kaanapali.
Proceeds from the club’s third annual St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser will foster community recycling in West Maui, scholarships for local students and donations to community nonprofit groups.
The party in the Molokai Ballroom of the Royal Lahaina Resort will feature a no-host bar and a buffet of pupus, Irish, Hawaiian and vegetarian entrees and desserts. Dancing will be to the music of Fred’s Garage. There will also be a silent auction with more than 100 items donated by local businesses and a live auction featuring a gourmet dinner for eight prepared by acclaimed chef Lyndon Honda and two-night vacation stays at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas.
Attendees may purchase tickets in advance for $95 per person or $115 at the door. All tickets include dinner and two drinks. VIP tables of ten are available for $1,000.
“With a great lineup of events, a delicious dinner buffet, music by Fred’s Garage and a chance to bid on some fantastic silent and live auction items, the stage is set for a great St. Patrick’s Day bash in West Maui,” said Joanne Laird, Rotary club interim president.
“We invite folks to have some fun with us as we party for a purpose and all become a little bit Irish on the 17th,” she said.
Tickets are available online at www.universe.com/goforthegreen. To donate items to the silent auction, or for information on event sponsorship, call Liz May at 5A Rent A Space at 669-5200.
