LAHAINA – Fred’s Garage, a classic West Maui rock and roll band, will provide the dance music at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s third annual “Go For The Green” St. Patrick’s Day party on Friday, March 17.

Residents and visitors are invited to join the fun at the Molokai Ballroom of the Royal Lahaina Resort, Kaanapali.

Event proceeds will support recycling in West Maui, scholarships to local students and club donations to community nonprofit groups.

“We’re thrilled to have Fred’s Garage for our St. Patty’s Day party,” said Melissa Fort, club president. “We invite the community to join us as we kick up our heels and have a great time, all for a good cause.”

The band’s website (fredsgaragemaui.wordpress.com) sums up their passionate and infectious style of playing: “From the ashes of a deprived West Maui music scene comes a band that plays unadulterated rock and roll.”

“Go For The Green” will include no-host bar, dinner buffet, dancing and a silent and live auction. Attendees may purchase tickets in advance for $95 per person ($115 at the door), which includes dinner and two drinks. VIP tables of ten are available for $1,000. Tickets are available online at www.universe.com/ goforthegreen.
