By Staff | Feb 23, 2017

LAHAINA – The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset will host “Go For The Green,” a St. Patrick’s Day party, at the Royal Lahaina Resort on Friday, March 17. Residents and visitors are invited.

Proceeds will support the monthly Third Saturday Recycling events at Lahaina Cannery Mall as well as scholarships for local students and donations to community nonprofit groups.

The festive St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in the Royal Lahaina’s Molokai Ballroom in Kaanapali.

The party will include no-host bar and a buffet of pupus; Irish, Hawaiian and vegetarian entrees; and desserts. Dancing will be to the music of Fred’s Garage.

There will also be a silent auction with more than 100 items donated by local businesses and a live auction featuring a gourmet dinner for eight prepared by acclaimed Chef Lyndon Honda and two-night vacation stays at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas.

Attendees may purchase tickets in advance for $95 per person or $115 at the door, which include dinner and two drinks. VIP tables of ten are available for $1,000.

Melissa Fort, club president, noted that “Go For The Green” is a fun night out that supports a highly successful community project.

“So many have expressed their appreciation for the Third Saturday Recycling program. By attending the St. Patrick’s Day bash, community members can show their support for green initiatives on the West Side while also enjoying a great party.”

Tickets may be purchased online at www.universe.com/goforthegreen.
