Maui Prep to hold Winter Gala benefit
NAPILI – Maui Preparatory Academy is excited to announce its biggest fundraising event of the year, the Winter Gala.
This year’s “Carnival”-themed event will be held Saturday evening, Jan. 28, at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Maui Prep’s Financial Aid Program. Maui Prep has a diverse student body and offers financial assistance to over 40 percent of its students.
This fun and elegant event begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, gourmet pupus and a chock full silent auction. Enjoy a spectacular dinner prepared by the Hyatt Regency Maui chefs, featuring a farm-fresh feast, in the newly renovated Regency Ballroom.
The festive “Rio-style” Carnival will come to life with surprise entertainment followed by the not-to-be-missed live auction with Warren Gibson of Warren & Annabelle’s Magic. The party continues with dancing to the live music of Jimmy Mac & the Kool Kats.
Maui Preparatory Academy, now in its 12th year, is the West Side’s only accredited independent school from preschool through 12th grade. MPA provides a rigorous academic interdisciplinary program combining arts enrichment, athletics and community service as part of its core values.
Maui Prep has been recognized regionally, nationally and internationally for its exceptional programs. iPueo, the Robotics Team, won the state championship in 2015 and went on to place in the top 15 percent in the world competition.
Maui Prep also offers Project Lead the Way (PLTW), an engineering program for high school students. Over the years, Maui Prep teams and individual students have won regional and state Science Olympiad awards and have gone on to compete in national competitions.
This unforgettable night out on the town is a wonderful way to invest in the education and future of Maui’s children. Maui Prep applauds all of its generous donors and encourages everyone to come attend this scholarship fundraising event.
Tickets for this age 21 and over event cost $225 per person or $2,250 for tables of ten, and may be purchased by contacting Lynne Twigg at ltwigg@mauiprep.org or calling the school office at (808) 665-9966.
