LAHAINA – Santa switched his sled for a more futuristic mode of transportation when he arrived at Lahaina Cannery Mall this year.

With the help of the team at Segway Maui, Santa cruised down Front Street in style before taking up his post at Lahaina Cannery Mall on Dec. 3. Along the way, he stopped for photos, waved to keiki and spread his holiday cheer.

You can visit Santa at Lahaina Cannery Mall throughout the month of December on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Free holiday gift-wrapping provided by The Salvation Army Lahaina Outpost is also available Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lahaina Cannery Mall.

Live holiday entertainment continues each week in December with free performances by popular local musicians, halau, and church and school groups.

Also this month at Lahaina Cannery Mall, free ukulele lessons are held at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday; free hula lessons are offered at 5 p.m. on Thursday; all-ages comedy and magic with Holden Mowat starts at noon, Keiki Hula Shows begin at 1 p.m., and Maui Toy Works holds Yu-Gi-Oh Card Sessions from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday; and a Keiki Hula Show begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
