KAPALUA – “Meet the Artists” events are held Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays in the Resort Lobby at Montage Kapalua Bay from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Featuring two different local Maui artists each day, residents and visitors are invited to meet the talent behind the craft and find that perfect gift or keepsake to take home.

Artists include Kai Creations, Mastrich Metals, Sarah Williams Collections, Maui Potions, Story of Hawaii-Map Historian, Love Remains and Eleykaa Tully. On Dec. 21 and 22, the resort will feature Bausele USA and Kensu Jewelry.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, on the Cane & Canoe Lawn at 6:30 p.m., and Friday, Dec. 16 and 23, on the Pacific Lawn at 6:30 p.m., join Kala Tanaka for a one-hour interactive stargaze.

Learn about the Hawaiian star chart, receive a guided tour of the night sky and learn how voyagers use constellations to navigate the seas.

The education and outreach coordinator for Hui O Wa’a Kaulua, Tanaka has sailed numerous crossings on the famous double-hulled canoe Hokule’a, which is currently on a worldwide voyage. The stargazing events are free.
