Town party to feature free concert in Campbell Park
LAHAINA – Come join the crowd in Campbell Park for a July 4th After Party during Lahaina’s Second Friday Town Party on July 8.
Maui Jam will play local Hawaiian music from 5 to 6:45 p.m., followed by ShaketownE performing pop, funk, soul, rock, soft rock and reggae from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
LahainaTown Action Committee, Leilani’s on the Beach and Betty’s Beach Cafe work together to sponsor several West Side keiki non-profits. This assistance allows the non-profits to fundraise with food booths from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and the event supports the community. Prison Street Pizza and Maui Surf Dogs will also sell food.
Sponsors include Waiola Church, Betty’s Beach Cafe, Leilani’s, Kimo’s, Captain Jack’s Island Grill, Cool Cat Caf, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Hard Rock Caf. For more information, call the Lahaina Visitor Center at 667-9193.
Down the Hatch-Maui will feature local artist Drew Sulock starting at 5 p.m. Join them for an evening of art and fresh-squeezed cocktails prepared by Adam Rio and Bree Richardson. Sulock will have one of his pieces for silent auction to benefit Lahaina Art Association’s Youth Outreach Program. The event will be followed by the Official Art Walk After Party with music by a local deejay.
Kimo’s will have live music with Willie K. from 9 to 11 p.m. The cover charge is $5, or free by picking up a Hula Pie coupon from the Lahaina Visitor Center at the Old Lahaina Courthouse.
Johnny Ringo will play from 2 to 5 p.m. at Captain Jack’s Island Grill and 7 to 10:30 p.m. at Cool Cat Cafe.
As the sun sets and “pau hana” begins, what better way to start the weekend than to shop Lahaina’s world-renowned art galleries, meet artists, talk story and share in some complimentary pupus and wine from 6 to 9 p.m. Pick up your free Art Map compliments of the Lahaina Visitor Center in the Old Lahaina Courthouse in Banyan Tree Park.
