Registration open for Theatre Theatre Maui’s 2016 West Side Youth Summer Theatre Camp
LAHAINA – Registration began March 14 for Theatre Theatre Maui’s 2016 West Side Youth Summer Theatre Camp.
Part of Theatre Theatre Maui’s (TTM) mission is to provide a full spectrum of theatrical training and experience to its participants and members of the community.
Led by Program Director Kristi Scott, the camp will run Mondays through Fridays from June 6 to July 17. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with varied times the final week of camp) for six fun-filled weeks.
Along with singing, dancing and acting, summer campers also participate in a camp workshop making props and set pieces for the summer show.
Summer camp will end with the campers singing, dancing and acting in live performances of DreamWorks “Shrek the Musical Jr.” on July 15-17. The production is licensed by Musical Theatre Incorporated and sponsored in part by the County of Maui Office of Economic Development.
Registration is open to students entering the fourth grade in the 2016-2017 school year and up to the age of 18. Do you have two siblings joining the camp? TTM offers a special discount of $50 off the tuition for the second sibling. The group also offers financial aid for qualified applicants (not to be combined with any other offer).
Contact TTM Executive Director Angie Thompson for financial aid information and an application. Camp tuition is $399 early bird (cash/check only by May 16, 2016); $425 credit card (anytime) or cash/check after May; or $425 with an installment payment of $225 at registration and $200 by June 6, 2016.
