Lahaina Arts Society to hold 48th Birthday Celebration

Free birthday cake will be served at noon on Sunday.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Arts Society (LAS) will celebrate 48 years of supporting the Maui artist community with “Art in the Park” festivities on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 28-29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. under the historic Lahaina Banyan Tree.

In addition to its fine art fair, LAS will host a silent auction to benefit the charity it founded, Lahaina Arts Association.

There will be fantastic live entertainment, a tie-dye workshop, face painting, birthday cake and more. Bring your friends and family for a fun-filled weekend!

Saturday’s music lineup includes Max Angel from 9 to 10:30 a.m., keiki hula from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Maui Jams from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and Zenshin Daiko from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. On Sunday, Andrew Molina will play from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by Maui Jams from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Dan Saunders from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Lahaina Arts Society is a nonprofit organization that showcases, markets and mentors Maui County artists.

Maui Jams will play music from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
