Enjoy a Hawaiian-style pa‘ina at Moku‘ula by Moonlight

Ata Damasco serves as host for the free Moku‘ula by Moonlight events.

LAHAINA – Celebrate an early Thanksgiving at the next Moku’ula by Moonlight on Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hale Halawai in Kamehameha Iki Park, 525 Front St. Admission is free.

Hawaiian mele, mo’olelo and mana’o mix when host Ata Damasco shares the stage with Maui elders who tell their stories about Lahaina, followed by a special guest who speaks about current topics relative to Native Hawaiian issues.

Highly acclaimed for his beautiful vocals and traditional Hawaiian music records, Damasco will be joined by musician friends in a kanikapila-style musical jam.

Na ‘Aikane O Maui will sell mea ‘ai plates of traditional Hawaiian foods, and the Friends of Moku’ula will offer logo hats, bags and books for sale.

Limited seating is provided; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome.
