Halloween celebration to include Keiki Halloween Costume Parade

All are welcome to enter the costume contest on Halloween night at Banyan Tree Park from 7 to 9 p.m. Registration begins at 6 p.m.
LAHAINA – “Halloween in Lahaina” returns to world-famous Front Street on Friday, Oct. 31. Hosted by LahainaTown Action Committee and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, the event features the 37th annual Keiki Halloween Costume Parade beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Maui keiki are invited to come in costume and parade down Front Street to Banyan Tree Park, where they will receive a congratulatory ribbon and bag of treats. The Lahainaluna High School Marching Band will march in the parade this year. Live entertainment is slated in Campbell Park from 5 to 9 p.m. “Halloween in Lahaina” is supported by Lahaina merchants and sales of the “official” Halloween T-shirt. All are invited to join in the keiki activities at Campbell Park or enter the costume contest on Halloween night at Banyan Tree Park from 7 to 9 p.m. Registration begins at 6 p.m.
Transportation will be available from Kihei and Wailuku. Tickets are sold in advance at retail outlets in Kihei and Kahului. They will also be available at www.visitlahaina.com. in October. LahainaTown Action Committee and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development will host a family friendly event for the residents and visitors of Maui, and keep Halloween fun and safe for everyone.
