‘Fantasia Ball’ to support Imua Family Services

Maui designer Maggi Coulombe will launch her new line at the “Fantasia Ball,” introducing more than 30 avant-garde, newly designed ensembles.

KAHULUI – Imua Family Services will present the “Fantasia Ball,” a celebration and fundraiser, on Friday, April 13.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa’s Haleakala Ballroom. Tickets are on sale now through Imua Family Services.

The “Fantasia Ball” will be an elegant affair complete with cocktail reception and boutique shopping from Sephora, Latitudes, Biasa Rose, Pearl Butik, Jasmine Honey Designs, Debra Mack Jewelry, Sew in Love and many more Maui stores.

There will also be a silent auction and live auction by emcee and Imua Family Services Executive Director Dean Wong, as well as a Pacific Island dinner prepared by Chef Eric Faivre and the Grand Wailea Culinary Team.

The fashion show will also feature couture creations by University of Hawaii Maui College Fashion Technology students, who have been given a creative reign of freedom.

Entertainment will run throughout the night with musicians and dancers from Seabury Hall Dance Director David Ward and teacher Vanessa Surrito, as well as Rita O’Connor’s Latin and ballroom dancers.

Latin band Dr. Nat and Rio Ritmo will perform in the ballroom, and Deejay Del Sol will play grooves in the Tsunami nightclub after the ball.

Young role model, author, musician and guest speaker Patrick Henry Hughes will also give a spotlight performance. He is a testimony of how all children, including those with disabilities, ARE potential.
