WAILEA – The Maui Humane Society’s ninth annual Fur Ball fundraiser for the animals is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Grand Wailea.

Themed “MHS Senior Prom: Happily Ever After,” the gala will be full of clich prom fun, including prom photos, crowning of the king and queen and lots of dancing!

The event will feature a gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, dancing with Jimmy Mac & the Kool Kats and much more.

Join Maui Humane Society to celebrate our wonderful furry friends and relive the pinnacle of your high school memories without the bad hair and braces!

The gala evening will begin at 5 p.m. in the Haleakala Ballroom and go until 11 p.m. Fur Ball tickets are $135 each, or a group of ten friends can purchase a table for $1,250. Black tie glam (no matter the era) and creative costumes are encouraged but not required.

For those who want to party, but don’t want to attend the entire gala, the resort’s Tsunami Night Club will be rockin’ the night away for one night only! “The After Party” runs from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. to benefit Maui Humane Society.

Tickets for this event are just $25 each, and all proceeds benefit the orphaned pets at MHS. Be sure to dress to impress, as dress code will be enforced and valid IDs will be checked at the door.

For those who would like to go to the Fur Ball and the after party, a discounted price of $150 each will secure entry to both. In addition, Grand Wailea is offering special room rates for Fur Ball guests who want to enjoy an overnight or weekend “staycation” at the resort. Call 875-1234 and ask for group reservations.
