LAHAINA – Lahaina’s Hawaiian Music Series will now play a role in Front Street’s diverse nightlife.

Lahaina Restoration Foundation announced that the monthly music series will now be held on the last Thursday of every month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Baldwin Home Lawn.

Featuring local artists and musicians performing traditional Hawaiian music, the series began in 2009 as a ten-month lunchtime program. Since then, it has evolved into a successful 12-month program described by many as an authentic Hawaiian experience.

This year, performers will entertain under the Maui moonlight. According to LRF, the combination of great live Hawaiian music, award-winning restaurants and shops make the program’s new time a great setting for a perfect evening out on the town.

Kicking off the program on Jan. 26 will be Joshua Kahula and Preston Ako. The duo are no strangers to the Baldwin Home lawn.

Their beautiful voices have captured the hearts of many, and their respect and flawless presentation of Hawaiian music resonate through each performance, making them a favorite among regulars.

Relax under the stars and enjoy the free concert brought to you by Lahaina Restoration Foundation. Chairs are limited; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome.

The Baldwin Home Museum is located in the heart of Lahaina on the corner of Front and Dickenson streets.

This concert is part of the foundation’s ongoing Hawaiian Music Series program supported by the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the county Office of Economic Development.
