KAANAPALI – This Christmas, Santa is trading in his reindeer for an outrigger canoe and heading for the shores of West Maui to visit Hula Grill Kaanapali!

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas will arrive at Hula Grill at Whalers Village on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4:45 p.m.

Santa will celebrate his 17th annual visit to Hula Grill by accepting Christmas requests from keiki, taking photos with families and passing out candy canes to those on the nice list. There will also be cookie and ornament decorating for all to enjoy.

In related news, with the generous help of restaurant patrons, bartenders at Hula Grill Kaanapali raised $1,750 on “Black Friday” to support 70-year-old Mary Davy of Hilo, the victim of a violent attack and burglary in her home.

Bartenders pledged to donate tip earnings to Davy on Nov. 25 in an effort to offset her medical bills.

“We just want to share huge mahalo with all of our amazing customers who made this donation possible,” said Bar Manager Lisa Olmos.

“You wouldn’t believe the support we had from patrons – we had people coming in just to donate money after having read about what we were doing in the newspapers. We’re so honored to be part of such a terrific community.”
