Lahaina Arts Society to hold 44th Birthday Bash

Lahaina Arts Society’s Banyan Tree Fine Art Fair with lots of fine art, jewelry, photography and more will be held Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Arts Society and Lahaina Arts Association will hold their 44th Birthday Bash and Annual Silent Auction on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29 and 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The public is invited to attend a weekend of fun and fine art to celebrate Lahaina Arts Society’s 44th birthday and raise money for the charity it founded by participating in the silent auction.

Activities will include free cake and coffee, live entertainment, face painting and crafts for the keiki, a drawing for free gifts, art supplies for sale and much more.

LAA’s silent auction of great paintings, jewelry, photographs, ceramics and art supplies (including frames) is set for Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bidding ends at 4 p.m. sharp.

A drawing will be held for local restaurant gift certificates and many other goodies on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Entrants must be present to win.

Lahaina Arts Society will celebrate its birthday on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free cake and coffee will be served at noon.

At LAA’s Children’s Art Outreach Table, kids can express their creativity. Open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the table will feature mask making for Halloween and free face painting.

Lahaina Arts Society is dedicated to showcase, support, teach, mentor and nurture Maui County artists.

The organization donated time and money to the charity it founded, Lahaina Arts Association, which includes the Children’s Art Outreach Program.
