By Staff | Oct 27, 2011

MAALAEA – Calling all keiki in grades 3-8 – come sleep with the sharks at Maui Ocean Center’s “spooktacular” Halloween sleep-over on Friday, Oct. 28.

Under the supervision of ocean naturalists, keiki can witness the intriguing behaviors of Hawaii’s nocturnal marine animals at the aquarium after dark. Along with hands-on discovery lessons, there will be exciting Halloween-themed activities, including a creepy creatures scavenger hunt in The Living Reef and choice of a fun Halloween craft, mask or trick-or-treat bag.

Keiki are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to this sleep-over. For safety purposes, masks and pointed objects are not permitted.

Drop off time is at 5:30 p.m. at MOC’s back gate; pickup is the next day at 8 a.m. Fee is $60 plus tax per child with a 15 percent discount for aquarium members. A pizza dinner, snacks, continental breakfast and souvenir are included. Reservations are required; call 270-7075.
