Whole Foods Market to celebrate one-year anniversary

At 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, try samples in every department throughout Whole Foods Market.
KAHULUI — All-natural and organic grocer Whole Foods Market will celebrate one whole year on Maui with a lineup of events at its Maui Mall store starting Thursday, Feb. 24.
Birthday cake will be served on Thursday at noon.
At 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, enjoy samples in every department throughout the store featuring Maui-grown and produced products.
The store will host a screening of the award-winning movie filmed on Maui, “Turning the Canoe,” at 6 p.m. A feature-length documentary focused on the unique and fragile island of Maui, the film explores how we can each create a sustainable future.
On Saturday, Feb. 26, at 4 p.m., Whole Foods Market will host an art gallery opening highlighting new artwork by Maui artists located in the store’s seating area. Guests will have a chance to meet the featured artists and enjoy light refreshments.
Maui artists, jewelers and craftsmen will host an in-store craft fair at Whole Foods Market on Sunday, Feb. 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Featuring unique gifts, artwork and clothing, shoppers can take advantage of great one-of-a-kind products. Proceeds will benefit scholarships for graduating Maui seniors and their pursuit of art education.
A One-Year Anniversary Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26-27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Take your taste buds on a special tour of the best the islands have to offer. The event will include a free drawing for a gift basket filled with Hawaii grown and produced products, food demonstrations and more.
Participating vendors on Saturday will include Oils of Aloha, Mulvadi, Kaiulani Spices, 4Js, Keokea Farms, Pacific Place Tea, Maui Cattle Co., Hali’imaile Pineapple
and Maui Ono’s salad dressings, butters and jams.
Vendors on Sunday will include Hana Fresh, Surfing Goat Dairy and Tedeschi Winery.
