Mickey Avalon, Andre Nickatina to perform in WhyHunger benefit

A full 96 cents of every dollar contributed to the Maui Food Bank goes directly to helping the needy.
LAHAINA — Hard Rock Cafe Maui is kicking off the official season of giving by helping to feed children and their families worldwide.
On Saturday, Dec. 4, the 900 Front St. restaurant will host Mickey Avalon and Andre Nickatina in a benefit concert for WhyHunger, a nonprofit organization that strives to fight hunger and poverty in America and around the world.
Hard Rock Café asks guests to bring food donations for the Maui Food Bank. Attendees can bring food donations when buying tickets or the night of the event.
The cafe will have two containers, and the goal is to have them overflowing. All unopened, nonperishable food items may be dropped off at the Hard Rock until Dec. 5.
Maui Food Bank provides life-sustaining food for the hungry living in Maui County.

San Francisco rapper Andre Nickatina will perform at the Dec. 4 fund-raiser for WhyHunger.
The event is part of Hard Rock International’s 2010 worldwide “Imagine There’s No Hunger” campaign — a partnership with John Lennon’s wife, artist and musician Yoko Ono Lennon — to benefit WhyHunger.
Hard Rock locations around the globe are offering “Imagine There’s No Hunger” merchandise in support of WhyHunger and its grassroots partners. Visit the Hard Rock’s Rock Shop and www.hardrock.com.
Tickets for the 21-and-over show are $42, available at Hard Rock Cafe. For more information, call 667 7400.
