WAILUKU — The Maui Historical Society and friends will host the tenth annual fund-raiser, “E Ho’oulu Aloha-To Grow in Love,” on Saturday, Nov. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This celebration of Hawaiian arts, culture, food and entertainment will be held on the grounds of the Bailey House Museum and the historic Yokouchi Estate in Wailuku.

Uluwehi Guerrero volunteers his talent and organizes the stage performances every year as his way of giving back to the Bailey House Museum.

The concert lineup includes well-known local entertainers Richard Ho’opi’i and Lei’ohu Ryder, who will perform from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program will also include Halau Hula Kauluokala and Na Leo Lani O Maui community choir directed by Gale Wisehart. Braddah Poki from Pacific Radio Group will serve as emcee.

In honor of the event’s tenth anniversary, there will be more food and crafts vendors, Hawaiian arts demonstrations and a keiki activity area. There will also be a silent auction, pre-holiday shopping at the museum gift shop and free museum admission.

Hawaiian plate lunches will be among the ono food available.

Come watch the lei ladies make fresh flower lei for sale and master lauhala weavers practice their craft, as well as demonstrations of Hawaiian quilting, kapa making and poi pounding.

Bring your blanket or a low-back beach chair and enjoy the day listening to music, watching the grace and beauty of the hula dancers and going back in time to Old Hawaii.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the event. Children under 12 are admitted free with a paid adult. Tickets are available at the Bailey House Museum at 2375-A Main St. in Wailuku or call 244-3326.
