LAHAINA — Lahaina Gateway will kick off the holiday season with sales, events and entertainment on Saturday, Nov. 20, as they welcome new stores Local Motion and Plush Beauty Lounge.

Local Motion will celebrate their grand reopening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at their new location next to Barnes and Noble. The event will feature a surfboard swap, tarp surfing, awesome prizes, sales, entertainment and good times!

Serving the community since their Front Street store opened back in 1987, Local Motion looks forward to a promising future.

Plush Beauty Lounge will celebrate their exciting grand reopening next to Hawaii Golf & Tennis from 7 to 9 p.m.

This popular salon, voted the best salon by MauiTime in 2010 and best hairstylist on the West Side in ’07, offers hair, skin and makeup services, and uses the highest quality products at their spacious new location.

Lahaina Gateway is excited to welcome back the fabulous keiki hula performers from Napili Kai Foundation from 6 to 6:45 p.m. that night.

Other merchant events that day include “Sports Day” at The Vitamin Shoppe from 1 to 5 p.m. with sports nutritional advice from USP Labs, health club staff, in-store specials, free samples, prizes, free five to 15-minute massages and “get fit” tips from Lahaina Crossfit.

Plus, Barnes & Noble Book Fairs and car wash fundraisers to benefit Lahainaluna High School will be held on both Saturday and Sunday.

From Nov. 20 through Dec. 24, show your holiday spirit, shop for a great cause and buy a gift for a child in need for the U.S. Marine Corps’ “Toys for Tots” and Lahaina Salvation Army event this Christmas season.
