Celebrate Maui’s food scene during third annual Restaurant Week

By Staff | Nov 11, 2010

Some of Hawaii’s top restaurants are preparing for the third annual Restaurant Week Hawaii from Nov. 15 through 21.

Presented by KGMB, the seven-day celebration of Hawaii’s cuisine scene will feature special menu items, promotions and discounts at participating restaurants.

The event will also serve as a fund-raiser for the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head.

“Restaurant Week Hawaii will showcase some of Hawaii’s top restaurants, reminding residents and visitors that Hawaii is a culinary destination with world-renowned chefs, farm-to-table dining, wonderful wine and a lot more to discover and explore,” said Culinary Institute of the Pacific Director Conrad Nonaka.

“With dozens of participating restaurants on Oahu and Maui, we’re looking forward to a successfully delicious event this year.”

Restaurant Week Hawaii will provide diners an opportunity to try new restaurants, rediscover old favorites and enjoy the culinary flair of Hawaii’s chefs using locally grown produce.

This year’s participating restaurants on Maui include Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Pineapple Grill at Kapalua, The Flatbread Company, The Melting Pot, Betty’s Beach Cafe, Cane & Taro, Haliimaile General Store, Maui Tacos and The Class Act Restaurant at Maui Culinary Academy.
