Sing for prizes at The Wharf’s Ghoulish Gala Karaoke Contest
LAHAINA — The Wharf Cinema Center’s 27th annual Ghoulish Gala Karaoke Costume Contest will take place on Sunday, Oct. 31.
The sixth annual Keiki Karaoke Contest is set for 6 to 7 p.m., and the 27th Ghoulish Gala Karaoke Costume Contest starts at 7 p.m.
Registration for both contests begins at 5 p.m. The keiki contest registration ends at 6 p.m., while registration for the Ghoulish Gala is open until 7 p.m.
Lahaina’s own Toddy Lilikoi will serve as emcee for the evening.
Contestants must be in costume to qualify. Winners will be awarded prizes worth over $1,500 in Wharf Bucks, activities, travel, meals and gifts from The Wharf Shops & Restaurants. Admission and registration are free.
“Ichabod’s Haunted Attraction at The Wharf” will be open Oct. 27-31. Shows for children in this haunted house will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for keiki 12 and under
Ghouls haunt the house for the adult shows from 6 p.m. “until the coffin closes.” The evening performances are intense and not recommended for young viewers. Admission is $8, with Haunted House proceeds benefitting Lahainaluna High School.
Also check out The Wharf’s “Halloweenville” photo-op display on the mid-level. Parents, bring your cameras along. The display will remain open until Casper says, “Goodnight.”
Following the Ghoulish Gala, the entertainment continues with Marty Dread at Cool Cat Cafe from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Mulligan’s At The Wharf will feature live entertainment by the Sounds of Addiction from 10 p.m., and Nacho “El Mariachi” will perform from 6 to 10 p.m. at Amigo’s.
