By Staff | Oct 21, 2010

Little demons, ghosts, goblins and superheroes will walk Front Street during the 32nd annual Keiki Halloween Costume Parade at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, sponsored by Soroptimist International of West Maui and the West Side’s two Rotary Clubs.

LAHAINA — West Maui Soroptimists, Lahaina Sunrise Rotary and Lahaina Rotary Club will stage the 32nd annual Keiki Halloween Costume Parade beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31.

Children will start at Papalaua Street and parade down Front Street to Banyan Tree Park, where keiki will be invited to walk across the stage to show off their costumes and pose for pictures.

Each child will receive a ribbon of participation and a trick-or-treat bag of candy.

This is a community event in which the three civic clubs unite to spread aloha in Lahaina. Rotarian Joe Pluta will emcee the activities at the park.

This year, these West Side service organizations welcome AAAAA Rent a Space, Hard Rock Cafe and Grand Wailea Resort as additional sponsors.

When the parade is finished, the Lahainaluna High School Marching Band and Cheerleaders will perform.

All cars parked on Front Street should be moved prior to the 2:30 p.m. shutdown.

Front Street is scheduled to reopen after the parade at 6 p.m. The community is invited to join in the festivities. All are welcome and admission is free.
