Kathy Collins to share ‘Chicken Skin Stories’

By Staff | Oct 21, 2010

This one-woman show starring Kathy Collins is not for the faint of heart or keiki under ten years old.

WAILUKU — Join Kathy Collins and her alter ego, Tita, for a spine-tingling evening of ghost stories from Hawaii and Japan on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23 and 24, at Steppingstone Playhouse.

Cofounder of Mana’o Radio, Collins is also a talented storyteller, poet and actress.

Many Maui residents recognize Tita from the county’s “Tita No Littah” campaign.

Last summer, Maui audiences were treated to Collins’ Broadway-quality performance as Bloody Mary in Maui Academy of Performing Arts’ blockbuster production of South Pacific at Maui Tropical Plantation.

“Chicken Skin Stories” plays Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. at Steppingstone Playhouse in Queen Ka’ahumanu Center (upstairs near the Macy’s home department).

Selling for $15, tickets are available by phone at 244-8760 or in person at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center’s customer service kiosk.
