Maui Humane Society announces ‘Barktoberfest’

KAANAPALI — Maui Humane Society announced plans for “Barktoberfest 2010,” its first-ever event on the West Side.

The benefit is set for Saturday, Oct. 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.

“Barktoberfest 2010” will feature beer by Maui Brewing Company, a gourmet German dinner, special Keiki Root Beer and Activity Tent and much more!

Maui radio personality Shaggy will keep the night rolling as emcee with live music by Lisa Owen and The Village Musicians, Haiku Hillbillys and Maui Reggae Ambassador Marty Dread.

All proceeds will benefit Maui Humane Society and the island’s orphaned animals.

Tickets are $60 in advance ($65 at the door) for adults and $30 in advance ($35 at the door) for children ages 5-12 years. Keiki four and under will be admitted free.
