The Pacific Fleet Band carries on the proud tradition of Navy music in Hawaii.

LAHAINA — The Pacific Fleet Band will perform at Lahaina Cannery Mall on Saturday, Sept. 4.

This free, one-hour performance from the 19-piece ensemble will kick off at 11:30 a.m.

Then on Monday, Sept. 6, LahainaTown Action Committee and Lahaina Arts Society are bringing the band to Banyan Tree Park for a concert from noon to 1 p.m.

The talented, Pearl Harbor-based group will showcase its diverse jazz repertoire, which includes echoes of Big Band heroes such as Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington, as well as contemporary jazz cats such as Bob Mitzer.

Monday’s concert will be part of Lahaina Arts Society’s Fine Art Fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the 648 Wharf St. park.
