Theater students to perform ‘Follow that Rabbit’

The cast of “Follow that Rabbit” performed songs at Lahaina Cannery Mall on Saturday.

LAHAINA — Theatre Theatre Maui’s summer youth production, “Follow that Rabbit,” a musical version of the Lewis Carroll tale of “Alice in Wonderland,” runs this week only in the Halelakala Ballroom at The Westin Maui Resort and Spa.

Show times are Friday, July 16, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 17, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, July 18, at 3 p.m. 

The young cast of 42 students will perform onstage under the direction of Kristi Scott, supported by her production team of Vania Lee Jerome, Lehua Simon, Heather Goss, Ashlie Welte, Jessica Vernoy, Caro Walker and Andrea Finkelstein. 

Cast members are Brandon Barreno, Anis Bel, Danielle Bergson, Riley Bond, Katya Brody, Crystal Chavez, Dakota Delos Reyes, Levi Delos Reyes, Jessa Emmerich, Nikki Falk, Sophia Fredy, Kamaile Harris Patao, Madison Hess, J.J. Jerome, Ren Kitaichi, Jake Kuiper, Lauryn Laborte, Lexie Leon, Iliana Luna, Summer Macedo, Ali Mathews, Racquel Mayo, Jessica Miske, Layla Nabavi, Dani New Holy, Ahtziri Orozco, Cassidy Otto, Alana Power, Carmen Ramos-Rincon, Christian Rocha, Ikaika Ross, Alessio Sabino, Kailey Sager, Nicole Slusser, Maili Thompson, Taylor Trout, Heidi Turner, Te‘a Vannatta, Kiana Vera, Brooke Whitehead, Bianca Wilson and Alicia Wintermeyer.

This musical tale is presented in special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service of Colorado. Students have been totally immersed in quality dramatic arts instruction for the past five weeks during this annual summer theatre camp.

Tickets are available at the door an hour prior to shows. Friday’s morning show tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children under 12. All remaining shows are $10 adults and $5 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased at the TTM box office that opens one hour before each show.
