MAPA to stage ‘Disney’s Aladdin Jr.’
WAILUKU — Steppingstone Playhouse will be filled with magic carpet rides and mayhem when Maui Academy of Performing Arts presents “Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” on July 1-3 and 10-11.
Appropriate for audiences of all ages, this exciting live musical theater production will be performed by students in MAPA’s Sum’R Musical Theatre Camp.
The camp offers 150 hours of intensive training in acting, dancing and singing.
The cast of 58 performers ages 8-14 has been training and rehearsing since May under the expert guidance of Director Kathleen Schulz, Choreographer Barry Brinker Jones, Musical Director Marti Kluth and Acting Coaches Eva Sikes, Francis Tau’a and Sally Sefton.

Performances are set for July 1-2 at 7 p.m., July 3 at 2 and 5 p.m. and July 10-11 at 2 p.m.
Seating at Steppingstone Playhouse at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center is limited, so get your tickets early.
