LAHAINA — Na Hoku Hanohano Lifetime Award Winner Emma Veary will perform at the Baldwin Home on Thursday, June 10, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend the free concert, which is part of Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s Hawaiian Music Series.

The lunchtime concert will be hosted by Allen “Braddah Poki” Pokipala of Pacific Radio Group.

Singing professionally since the age of five, Veary is a beautiful singer with a beautiful voice.

Once revered as “Hawaii’s Golden Throat,” she headlined shows at Halekulani and The Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

Veary is a respected Hawaiian musical treasure whose signature tunes include “Kamehameha Waltz” and “E Maliu Mai.”

The 78-year-old great-grandmother now lives a quiet life with family members on Maui.

While Veary performs, Lahaina Restoration Foundation invites you to bring your lunch and join the “Lei Ladies” of the Lahaina-Honolua Senior Citizens Club, as they string fresh flower lei and talk story under the shade of the kou trees on the Baldwin Home Museum lawn.

The Baldwin Home is located on the corner of Front and Dickenson streets in the heart of historic Lahaina. Feel free to bring a chair or pull out a beach mat.

The Hawaiian Music Series in Lahaina is coordinated by Lahaina Restoration Foundation and sponsored by the county Office of Economic Development and Hawaii Tourism Authority. For a full series schedule, visit www.lahainarestoration.org or call 661-3262.
