A market-style feast will be pared with fine wines and spirits at Pineapple Grill’s fifth anniversary gala.

KAPALUA — Hale Makua Health Services will be the benefitting charity of Pineapple Grill’s fifth anniversary gala on Saturday, May 8.

Guests will delight in signature dishes prepared by Pineapple Grill Executive Chef Ryan Luckey and his culinary team. Music will be provided by Brian Cuomo & Friends.

Attending guests will also be able to take advantage of a very special rate (starting at $150 per night) at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

This event is being organized and spearheaded by Roy and Betty Sakamoto and Mitch Mitchell of Sakamoto Properties.

Tickets are available for $150 each ($100 is tax-deductible). To purchase tickets, call Sakamoto Properties at 669-0070 or Hale Makua Health Services at 871-9283, or buy them online at www.halemakua.org.

A private bus is available to and from Central Maui for those who don’t want to drive to Kapalua.

Officially opened in June 2005, Pineapple Grill offers a next generation approach to the evolving art of Pacific Island Cuisine.

Its theatrical decor sets a mood of elegance, Maui-style — upscale, but casual and fun — while taking full advantage of a gorgeous location on Kapalua Bay Golf Course overlooking the sea.

Pineapple Grill is a collaboration between local restaurateur Chris Kaiwi and San Diego’s award-winning Cohn Restaurant Group.
