St. Nick greets holiday shoppers at Lahaina Cannery Mall. The big man will be on hand for last-minute requests all season long.

LAHAINA — The holidays are in full gear at Lahaina Cannery Mall. Live holiday entertainment from Hawaii musicians, halau, and community, church and school groups is scheduled every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December. 

Santa is already on hand, and regardless of whether you’ve been naughty or nice, all Lahaina Cannery Mall patrons can enter to win two tickets to Las Vegas as part of the center’s “Very Vegas Christmas” holiday giveaway.

While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the holiday trees decorated with handmade ornaments by Maui schools and community groups as part of the annual “Festival of Trees” decoration contest.

Dec. 11 — Maui Brass Ensemble at 7 p.m.;

Dec. 12 — Kalama Intermediate School Ukulele Band at noon, and keiki hula by Halau Hula O Keola Aliiokekai at 1 p.m.;

Dec. 13 — Sacred Hearts School Choir at noon, and keiki hula by Na Kamalii Nani O Lahaina at 1 p.m.;

Dec. 15 — Hula by Na Kamalii Nani O Lahaina at 7 p.m.;

Dec. 17 — Hula by Na Kamalii O Ke Akua at 7 p.m.;

Dec. 18 — Lahaina Baptist Choir at 7 p.m.;

Dec. 19 — Lahaina Honolua Senior Citizens Club Entertainers at 11 a.m., Tomodachi Strummers at noon and keiki hula by Te Tiare Patitifa at 1 p.m.;

Dec. 20 — Grace Independent Baptist Church choir at noon, and keiki hula by Halau O Keaunui O Maui at 1 p.m.;

Dec. 22 — Hula by Halau Hula O Keola Aliiokekai at 7 p.m.

Also this month at Lahaina Cannery Mall, every Tuesday, free ukulele lessons begin at 5:45 p.m.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Polynesian Performances Hula Shows start at 7 p.m.

Every Saturday, Keiki Hula Shows begin at 1 p.m., and Maui Toy Works will host Yu-Gi-Oh Card Sessions from 3 to 5 p.m.

Every Sunday, Keiki Hula Shows are slated at 1 p.m., along with Maui Toy Works’ Yo-Yo/skill toys workshops and demonstrations from 4 to 5 p.m., and line dancing by Maui Paniolo Posse at 4:30 p.m.

Lahaina Cannery Mall — open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (7 p.m. on Sundays) — has more than 50 shops and restaurants.
