Avi Ronen of Lahaina Custom Guitars has a new CD called “Trancefusion.”

LAHAINA — Avi Ronen, local musician and owner of Lahaina Custom Guitars, teamed up with Gidi Snapir and Keren Porat-Snapir for the newly released CD called “Trancefusion.”

A recording of high-energy dance music, “Trancefusion” combines space rock, Goa Trance and Psi Trance with influences of David Gilmore, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen.

One might consider it trance music with Mediterranean, Eastern and rock overtones.

Living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel, Gidi and Keren are a husband-and wife-team.

Keren, who studied music for seven years in India, is a singer who plays Indian stringed instruments, including the sitar.

Ronen and Gidi have worked together on various projects over their 20-year friendship.

“Trancefusion” is available at Lahaina Custom Guitars in Anchor Square on Papalaua Street and online at www.kaviguitars.com.
