Duke’s Beach House honors ‘Educators of the Month’

KAANAPALI – Duke’s Beach House recently recognized Lolita Bucaneg, Faith Hudock and Janell Caterina of Princess Nahienaena Elementary School as its “Educators of the Month” for August, September and October, respectively.

Each honoree was selected by their peers for their commitment and dedication to their students.

English Language Learner teacher Bucaneg was described as always prepared and dedicated to her students. She has been a member of the school’s team for many years.

Hudock, an English Language Learner teacher, was acknowledged for her commitment to help her students learn English. She believes that her students can and will be successful.

Hudock is dedicated, offering tutoring before school and volunteering with school projects.

Second grade teacher Caterina was selected for her outstanding work with her students. She was acknowledged for starting the gardening program and teaching sustainability at Princess Nahienaena Elementary School.

“We are so happy to be able to celebrate the great work that is being done at Princess Nahienaena Elementary School,” said Orama Clifft, Duke’s Beach House manager.

“These educators are providing amazing support for the keiki in our community.”

Bucaneg, Hudock and Caterina were each presented with an engraved koa box and $100 gift certificate to Duke’s Beach House.
