The book also features tips on self-care and helps readers assess whether or not their situation needs to be addressed with the guidance of a professional.

"Baby Blues: A Naturopathic Approach for Postpartum Health" is written from the perspective of preventative care.

Lins said she offers a new way of looking at postpartum health, by educating readers on how to heal one's body using scientifically proven treatment protocols that are natural, safe and effective.

"I think that many women giving birth now want to feel empowered and have the information to help heal themselves postpartum. They are interested in nutrition, lifestyle and are aware of using natural hormones and herbs that women even ten years ago were not aware of," the author said.

The book is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Dr. Lins, a board-certified naturopathic physician licensed in Hawaii, received her doctoral training from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, where she studied nutrition, vitamins, herbs, natural hormone replacement, homeopathy and mind/body medicine, as well as preventative, complimentary and alternative medicine.

In private practice in Hawaii since 2002, Lins is available in person and via telemedicine appointments. Readers may visit her official page at www.DrLinsHawaii.com.
