The Beer Garden event on Friday, Sept. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. will pair craft beers with chef stations.

KAPALUA – Montage Kapalua Bay announced that it will host its first Beer Garden event on Friday, Sept. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. Located on the elegant slopes of the Pacific Lawn, the event will feature craft beer from sponsors including New Belgium Brewing Company, Kohola Brewery and more.

The festive event will pair the featured beers with chef stations, including a Bratwurst Display with house sauerkraut and crusty rolls, and a Schnitzel Station with jagerschnitzel sliders and chicken schnitzel and waffles.

A unique and first-ever Mustards of Montage bar will be showcased with a tower of house-made pretzels for dipping. Executive chefs from each of the five Montage properties across the country will present a unique mustard recipe featuring their destination’s local flavors.

Additionally, Executive Chef David Viviano will host Chef Lee Anne Wong, a former “Top Chef” contestant, from Koko Head Cafe in Oahu.

Wong has been celebrated for her modern takes on global cooking in publications such as People, Food & Wine, and National Geographic. She will be presenting Poi Spaetzle with Bacon and Hot Smoked Pickled Akule.

“We are excited to expand on our ‘Aloha Friday’ sunset series and create a memorable event to relish the season of Oktoberfest,” said Chef Viviano. “This casual event will celebrate the traditional flavors of the largest festival in the world while offering a beautiful setting to indulge and spend time with friends.”

Cost to attend is $50 per person online and $60 per person at the door (if available). Prices include tasting of all brews and food presentations; attendees must be 21 years and older.
