LAHAINA – The LahainaTown Action Committee invites golfers to still sign up for its fourth annual Golf Classic this Saturday, May 7, at the Kaanapali Kai Golf Course in West Maui. Golfers who participate will have the satisfaction of helping a charitable organization, with a large portion of the tournament proceeds benefitting Lahaina Junior Golf.

The festivities will kick off at 8 a.m. with a four-golfer scramble-shotgun start. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with a fee of $150. The entry fee includes the greens fee for 18 holes of golf on the beautiful Kaanapali Kai Golf Course, golf cart and awards luncheon.

The luncheon from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Roy’s will feature an awards ceremony and live auction. The event also includes a spectacular perpetual trophy carved by talented woodworking artist Paul Kasprzycki.

Prizes for each team, along with prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin (both male and female), will be awarded, as well as split the pot and “Beat the Pro” on the course.

Sne Patel, president of LahainaTown Action Committee, said, “This is a unique Golf Classic with many merchants contributing to the fun. Ono grinds and refreshments on selected holes, provided by Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Shark Pit and Johnson Brothers, so bring your appetite and golf skills.”

A hole in one will receive a brand new car sponsored by Jim Falk’s Valley Isle Motors. The public is invited to come join in the fun.

To register and pay online, visit the LahainaTown Action Committee’s website at www.visitlahaina.com or call LAC at (808) 667-9175.
