Lahaina Intermediate to hold Parent Week and Book Fair

By Staff | Nov 26, 2015

LAHAINA – Lahaina Intermediate School’s Parent Week and Book Fair will be held from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4. All parents and guardians are invited and encouraged to visit LIS during this annual event.

Jayme Donez, Parent-Community Networking Center facilitator at Lahaina Intermediate School, noted, “Please make time to show your child/children how important their school and education is to you by visiting our campus during this week.

“This is your opportunity to see what your child’s school day is really like. You can even sit down and have lunch or snack with them ($5.50).”

If you are planning to have a meal in the cafeteria, payment must be made at the school office before 9 a.m. on the day of the visit.

Let school staff know you will be joining them by e-mailing your name, your child’s name, and the day you plan to attend school to jayme_donez@notes.k12.hi.us.

The Book Fair will be held in the school library from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Wednesday until 12:15 p.m.).

This is a Barnes and Noble-sponsored event, so if you cannot attend the book fair at the school but would still like to participate, a percentage of purchases made at the Barnes and Noble store or online at bn.com/bookfairs will also benefit Lahaina Intermediate School.

Simply provide the Book Fair Event ID #11579463 at checkout from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4.

Mahalo for your support of the students at Lahaina Intermediate School!
